This post was created as part of a relationship in which I was sponsored by Weight Watchers and given a free three month subscription to try their new Personal Coaching product and write about my experience. Though I was compensated for my time and commitment, all views, positive and negative, are my own. #WeightWatchers #WWsponsored

Recently I decided that I need a bit of a change when it came to how I was eating. I've been successful with Weight Watchers in the past and continue to find success with it. But it was using very specific foods due to convenience. Recently I decided that I wanted to make a more towards eating less convenience type meals and morewhole food meals but I'll admit that it made me nervous!

Whole Food Meals on Weight Watchers are easy just keep it simple!

Whole Food Meals with Weight Watchers

It was kind of new to me and made me nervous to try something new within the plan I was so used to finding success on. It was the perfect time to get online and chat with a personal coach. I was thankful to have access to the Weight Watchers Personal Coaching program as I debated making this change in the way I eat.

But with help from a personal coach I was able to figure out that I could eat more whole food meals and still stick to my Weight Watchers plan! It was really all about keeping it pretty simple!

Simplicity and Planning

Together we figured out that I definitely needed to plan ahead to make this change. I looked at my daily point allowance and the foods I was interested in incorporating to see how it all fit together. I though it would be complicated but once I nailed down some essential basics, it was easy to build up ideas for whole food meals and snacks that worked for me!

Eating Whole Food Meals on Weight Watchers is manageable with some planning and simple meal plan ideas!

Whole Foods on Weight Watchers

Breakfast was the easiest for me because I'm a huge fan of eggs. So I can always serve them in different ways. But scrambled with some veggies on the side is one of my favorite ways to go. And it works well for Weight Watchers because my vegetables are filling and don't use any of my points!

For my lunches, I needed a bit of convenience. Our days are busy here so to make sure I eat in the middle of the day, I need something easy. I found some nitrate and additive-free lunch meat at my deli and added in some cheese cubes to boost it even more. A few more of some of my favorite veggies on the side was a perfect and filling lunch! The kids wanted to eat it with me too!

Dinner was a bit more complicated. I'll admit that made meals for myself most of the week and separate ones for the family. Trying to keep it simple without figuring out how to feed all of us while sticking to my new plan. That can wait a week or two!

Planning ahead and keeping it simple makes whole food meals work with your Weight Watchers plan!

My Whole Food Meals

So what foods did I use for this first week of eating more whole foods while on my Weight Watchers program?

I haven't been using any sweeteners either so no honey or maple syrup. Just fruit as my source of sweetening things up!

Breakfast

  • Eggs with veggies (scrambled, hard boiled, over easy, omelet)
  • Steel cut oats with half a banana and a few walnuts

Lunch

  • Lunch meat and cheese rolls
  • Side salads with low sugar organic dressing
  • Tacos without a shell

Dinner

  • Hamburger patties
  • Taco salad
  • Grilled chicken salad

Snacks

  • Hard boiled eggs
  • String cheese
  • Apple slices with almond butter
  • Banana with almond butter
  • Fruit and cheese cubes

Delicious lunch using whole foods that fits on my Weight Watchers plan!

Like I said, I kept it all very simple so I didn't feel overwhelmed with having to figure out what to do each day. I rotated the ideas through every few days. I also had some tuna on hand but found myself wanting to go with red meat or chicken more. So I'm saving it for next week!

Weight Watcher Simply Filling

One option I hadn't considered before that was mentioned by my coach was Weight Watcher's Simply Filling technique. She mentioned that it could be an easy way to make the changes to more whole foods. I had to agree after reading a bit more about it. It showed me just how flexible Weight Watchers can be while still offering me the structure that has helped me find weight loss success in the past.

Eating whole food meals on Weight Watchers is doable! The Simply Filling plan is one approach to take!

After we chatted a bit more, I decided that tracking my points is something that keeps me accountable so I just had to do a little prep work and figure out the point values of the food I was planning to have that week! Either way, I love that my coach was able to help me figure out a Weight Watchers approach that would meet my current needs and keep me on track!

The experience just showed me how Weight Watchers can fit into any type of lifestyle! I'm excited to be continuing on my weight loss journey with a new approach! But I'll still have all of the support I depend on with my Weight Watchers personal coaching! It's a win all around for me!
